Maria worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for eight years before completing law school in 1991.  As an attorney she continues to advocate for patients and their families.  She understands the medical field and can empathize with the pain and stress negligent acts inflict.  She has comforted patients and families through the stress and pain of a medical situation as a Nurse and continues to do so as an attorney.

Maria’s medical experience provides the experience necessary to ask penetrating question of health care providers and the medical experts retained by their insurance companies to ensure the truth is told.  Her experience as a nurse supplies the background necessary to interpret medical records and understand the present and future medical cost her clients face.

Before founding Wormington Law Group, Maria worked for an insurance firm.  She saw firsthand how vital experienced representation is to uncover the truth of what really happened and how to position a case in the best light possible in order to recover fair and just compensation for her clients.  This observation prompted her to start her own law firm dedicated to providing superior legal services to victims and their families.

Maria has distinguished herself among her peers in the legal field for the personal care and dedication to her clients as well as her tenacious professionalism as she advocates for justice.  These characteristics have earned her the right to be inducted into the Million Dollar Advocate Forum, a privilege that fewer than 1% of US attorneys have achieved.
