Geoffrey Bichler is the founding member and managing partner of Bichler, Kelley, Oliver & Longo, PLLC, a statewide practice focusing on the representation of first responders with disability claims. He has been recognized for his skill as an advocate by “Best Lawyers in America” every year since 2005 and has been featured as one of the “Best Lawyers in Orlando” by Orlando Magazine (2006-2013). Mr. Bichler has also been honored by Florida Trend Magazine and included in its “Legal Elite” issue recognizing the best lawyers in the State of Florida.

Mr. Bichler is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest possible peer review rating available for both competence and ethics. He speaks frequently at Union functions all over the State concerning “first responder” disability claims, and is recognized as one of the preeminent experts on the operation of Florida presumptive legislation including the “Heart Bill”. Mr. Bichler is a member of the Executive Counsel of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar and is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Workers Advocates. Mr. Bichler is also General Counsel for “Florida Public Employees”, a non-profit political organization formed in 2011 to protect the legal rights of public employees.

Mr. Bichler has been a member of the prestigious “case law update” panel at the Florida Workers’ Compensation Institute’s annual convention since 1998. In 2001, Mr. Bichler was a featured speaker for the International Association of Firefighters at the Redmond Symposium in Phoenix, Arizona on the topic of Hepatitis “C” in fire service. In 2004, Mr. Bichler was chosen by the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar in 2004 to present the inaugural chapter on presumptive illness claims for first responders under F.S. 112.18 and F.S. 112.181 at the annual Workers’ Compensation Certification review course. Since that time Mr. Bichler has been a regular speaker at annual educational conferences for the Fraternal Order of Police, the Florida Professional Firefighters, The Police Benevolent Association, and the Teamsters.
